Racing with the Nockamixon Sail Club

The Nockamixon Sail Club competitive racing calendar starts in early April and runs through the end of October.

The club has three very active one design fleets - Thistles, Flying Scots and Impulse 21's.

In addition, the club also hosts a Portsmouth Racing Fleet. This fleet uses the US Sailing Portsmouth Yardstick program for scoring.

Come on out.  See when.

The Nockamixon Sail Club hosts several one day regattas throughout the year. The May Invitational Regatta has been named the Victor Jaczun Regatta in honor of our founding father of the club. Invitational regattas allow for club members and visitors to race in a one day event and receive awards afterwards. The events use a single start for all competitors.

The US Sailing Portsmouth Yardsticks allow for rating the boats to an even playing field. The July event is also our Up-the-Lake-Down-and-Back Event or ULDB. The regatta is followed by a club picnic.

Come out and share in the fun. Invitational Regattas are open to all sailors. What better way to enjoy the sun, the water and just plain sailing on Lake Nockamixon?

U.S. Sailing

The Nockamixon Sail Club is a proud member of U.S. Sailing and encourages everyone to join.

We also have Wednesday Night Racing.

This is a casual evening race from April 22 to October 14 (sailing times are 5:00pm till sunset)  The course is between the Marina and the Fishing Pier points. One mile each way. Optional course towards Hobie Alley or a modified triangle in front of the marina. About 25 to 30 minutes each race (wind dependant - you get to at least watch a sunset).  Here are the Wednesday Night Racing Supplementary Sailing Instructions.
